Can You Go to Med School for Free? Let us Show You How!
Going to med school is almost always synonymous to spending a fortune. If you’re planning to finance your medical education on your own, you have to be prepared to spend at least a hundred thousand dollars for your degree, including tuition and board. However, there are ways for you to go to med school for free. There are scholarships made available to qualified students, and some organizations like The National Health Service and The National Institutes of Health are willing to pay tuition to those who pass their specific standards.

Military scholarships
Military scholarships are being offered to those who qualify for officer positions. The military is willing to pay for tuition as well as living expenses, throughout the four years necessary in the completion of medical school. This applies to those who are in the Army, Air Force, or Navy.
National Health Service medical degree support
The National Health Service is willing to provide tuition and living expenses to those who want to train to become primary-care physicians. However, recipients of the scholarship will need to work in needy areas for at least a year, for every year of a scholarship. The NHS, however, receives more applications than the actual scholarship slots so you might want to apply earlier to make sure that you meet all the necessary requirements.
Scholarships from the National Institutes of Health
Students who are interested in devoting eight years in school in order to recieve both an M.D. and research Ph.D. may seek assistance from the National Institutes of Health. The organization is willing to pay both tuition and living expenses through their funding programs, such as the Medical Scientist Training Program. This program is being geared specifically for students who plan on becoming research scientists.
Free tuition from The Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine
The Cleveland Clinic aims to train future researchers and academic experts. For prospective medical students, specifically those who are qualified, this college of medicine is willing to offer free tuition.
Attending medical school is a long-winded and often expensive journey; however; there are grants and scholarships available to those who have the right qualifications. This makes it possible for you, the determined medical student, to attend med school for free.
